Even You Song is a collaborative artwork to the format of Choral Evensong by Bettina Furnée and writer Lucy Sheerman with music composed by Cheryl Frances-Hoad for adut and children’s choir and organ. Even You Song was premiered by Peterborough Cathedral Choir (directed by Steven Grahl) in 2017. The libretto is based on interviews with twelve couples from Peterborough, contemplating a mission to the moon of indefinite length, echoing the popular call-out by the Mars Foundation for a mature couple to go to Mars. The work includes film projections with selected texts and footage of domestic interiors captured during the interviews.
