Digital print (1m. x 1m.) with an array of texts bringing a sense of fluidity and inconstancy to the idea of ‘home’. The central text Near Home itself is only an approximation of ‘home’. The work references the definition of the archaic word ‘holm(e)’, which means 1) sea or wave, and 2) ‘islet in a bay’ or ‘(water) meadow on the shore’ (so both a hill and a dip, as it were). The word ‘holm(e)’ can still be found in many English place-names, and easily slips into the word ‘home’.
